Support Style:I enjoy working at Real Lives as it gives me the opportunity to talk to people from all kinds of different backgrounds. I enjoy computer games as well as football. I support Nottingham Forest and currently have a season ticket for them. During support sessions I’m open to doing all sorts from rock climbing and bike rides to cinema and shopping. I have experience of working with clients with mental health experience and learning disabilities and previous experience working with children. I am naturally empathetic and have a friendly approach, I enjoy learning new approaches and gaining new experience.

Support Style:I enjoy working with people in a collaborative way to support them to achieve things. I am happy to work flexibly with people to try to find creative solutions to difficulties and encourage them to set and work towards their goals. I am quite a friendly and open person. I have experience of dealing with different staff and agencies and don’t mind supporting people with practical matters.
Interesting fact:
I used to live on a boat and once did a sky dive for charity.

Support Style:Recovery-focused, person-led support drawing upon personal lived experience and numerous peer support and carer training courses, such as the NHS – Open University accredited Peer Support Worker training. I value honesty and healthy, balanced approaches, taking small steps to reach the individual’s goals. I work very hard at organising myself in order to stay consistently reliable and dependable.

Support Style:Relaxed and Person Centered. I like to help empower people to make decisions which will have a positive impact on their lives. I have a previous career in engineering which surprisingly perhaps has furnished me with a host of interpersonal skills that I have been able to bring to my role with Real Lives, such as communicating with a diverse variety of people from all walks of life. I have experience of recovery focused principles gained from attending the Nottingham Recovery College. I am a good listener and problem solver. I am also a keen advocate of Mindfulness, having taken an accredited course and which I still practice regularly. I like to work in a laid back and easy going manner and at a manageable pace. Supporting people to live the lives they want to, as much as possible and to achieve their dreams and aspirations. Anything is possible. I like to walk and jog for fitness, for relaxation I love to read and listen to music. I am even learning to play the ?ukulele?albeit not very well.

Support Style:I am an OT by background, but I have worked at Real Lives from 2012 and my work now is managing the day to day running of real lives, setting up and planning packages and helping match PALs to clients. I work in a casual, friendly manner, and I like organising things like finances, homes, routine I am happy to be as creative as possible to reach goals.
